Denim and Linen Pouch Workshop with Mourne Creative, Co. Down

Come make a fun machine-sewn denim and linen pouch with Jude Smith, here at the Mourne Creative Workshop.

Jude will guide you through the process of making and designing your own cotton and linen pouch, from inserting the zip, to attaching webbing for a handle, with the idea of making more at home for your own creative enterprise.

These are fun handy little bags to store your phone, cash and small bits of make, or as a travel pouch for passports, glasses, make-up and jewellery.

Jude has over 20 years of sewing experience, and has a City and Guilds in fashion and design. She was an accountant, in a previous life, but gave it all up to sew and work in a studio in her garden, where she mainly designs and makes dolls.

This workshop will hopefully give you some new skills and confidence to continue your sewing journey. Feel free to bring your own material along, if you have a certain idea in mind, or just pick something from Jude’s collection. You will need your own machine for this workshop, or if coming with a friend can double up on one machine.
The Workshop runs from 10-4pm.

The day includes a hearty Mourne lunch to include GF brownies and lemon and marscapone mini cakes.
