Creativity and Yoga Retreat in Sweden

Do you need a break and a bit of inspiration? Join me for a week yoga, meditation and different creative workshops in Sweden. You will be inspired by nature and Swedish culture while immersing yourself in creative workshops exploring colour, shapes and patterns as well as visits to nearby museums, galleries and studios. Enjoy walks and a swim on the white sandy beach and experience stillness in meditative yoga. The goal is to initiate ways to be visually playful and to look closely at details which we don’t normally see. Everyone will get a blank journal when they arrive and will be encouraged to use this wherever we go. It will become a personal memory of the week.

This Retreat/workshop is situated in the seaside village of Beddingestrand, on the south coast of Sweden. The main house and studio is only 100m from the sea. Organised by Liz Nilsson who has spent every summer of her life in this area and it is where she goes to recharge her batteries and get inspiration for artwork and new ideas. It will be a small and intimate group of 8-10 people. During the retreat you will gather inspiration from the surroundings in the village and on excursions of the area. In the light filled studio, or outside on the deck if the weather allows, create patterns and motifs that you print on paper and textiles using simple printing techniques to create memories to take home. Liz will supply you with all materials and tools that you need. The retreat is for both for beginners as well as for those with previous art/yoga experience. You will enjoy lovely meals that are prepared by a local chef. Some days we visit local small restaurants in the area. Contact Liz: liznilsson@me.com for a full itinerary.
