Commission | Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Visual Art Commission 2020 and 2021

Deadline for applications: Thursday 28 February.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council wishes to commission two visual artists to create a new body of work which will culminate in an exhibition (by each artist) in the Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon in 2020 and 2021. These commissions are funded by the Arts Council and supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Each selected commission will be awarded €10,000.

Applications are invited from artists who are living in, working in or originally from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown or who have studied visual art in the County. This opportunity is open to individual artists or artists who work in a collaborative manner; please note it is not open to group proposals/exhibitions.

Gallery visit for interested applicants on 6 February: The Arts Office will host a site visit to the Gallery on Wednesday 6 February at 6.30pm to introduce the space and answer any specific questions. To book a place for this, please email arts@dlrcoco.ie. Facilitated gallery visits cannot be accommodated outside of this time.
