Bloomers : The Living Mountain | Discussion Event at The Guesthouse, Cork

23 November, 6pm to 9pm.

D I S C U S S I O N

This discussion event will welcome the Contributing Writers and Artists featured in the second issue of Bloomers, ‘The Living Mountain’, to discuss their practises and inspirations taken from nature.

‘The Living Mountain’, is taken from a book with the same title written by Modernist Writer Nan Shepherd in 1977. The original book describes the authors relationship with environment in a highly descriptive and intimate way, as the her journey through natural surroundings is accompanied with anecdotes about her personal life. Inspired by this book, this issue is a collection of essays, interviews, reviews and other texts about the work of several emerging Female Artists who are exploring environment in their work.
