Megan teaches life drawing and drawing in the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design. She created a series of drawings of donor bodies in Trinity School of Medicine; ‘donor body imagery is not about the shock and horror of an extreme life lived, or early death, the bodies represent the ordinariness of living and dying, and the extraordinariness of becoming a ‘Silent Teacher’’.
Since the very beginning of his career in the 1970s, Brian’s work emerges from social and political situations and a deep engagement with a particular place or group of people. He approaches painting as a gesture of solidarity and has undertaken projects in prisons, women’s shelters and psychiatric institutions.
