Administration and Event Coordinator at The Hunt Museum, Limerick

The Hunt MuseumΒ are looking for a self-motivated individual to support them in a wide range of administration tasks at the museum.

The job has three key areas of responsibility: to manage all event bookings and their set up; to assist in the administration needed for education and temporary exhibitions; general administration for the museum, including managing suppliers and contractors for IT, building and gardening services. The post also has some general administration such as our mailing lists, petty cash and invoicing.

The Hunt Museum is a not-for-profit organisation with the aspiration of being a centre of learning and civic life. Their mission statement describes how they will achieve this by preserving and use of their world class collections; catalysing new collaborations and innovation and increasing public engagement in the collections, the museum, its exhibitions and events;

You will enjoy talking to people, have a solid understanding of IT systems and platforms such as Google Drive and have an eye for detail combined with natural organisational skills. You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative, ensuring that all duties are completed thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner. The ability to work outside office hours on occasion together with a broad knowledge of the museum would be a plus.

Pay grade & salary: The salary will be awarded according to experience within a scale ranging from €20,000 p.a. to €26,000 p.a. Holiday is 21 days pro-rated, and excludes public holidays.
