4-week Carborundum Course with Elke Thönnes at Graphic Studio Dublin

An introduction to carborundum printmaking, probably the most painterly of the intaglio techniques.

Carborundum does not need acid and can be combined with other techniques like collagraph for texture and drypoint for line. Students can use up to three plates to produce their final image. Starting with an ‘experimental’ plate students will be encouraged to try out different mark making before moving on to a specific image.

Suitable for beginners and intermediate.
