3 Day TouchDesigner Workshop with Andrew Quinn, Listowel Co. Kerry

TouchDesigner is the leading platform for interactive media and immersive design, and is used to create the world’s largest installations.

Designed for beginners with no or very little previous experience with TouchDesigner, this three-day workshop will help you kickstart your journey into the new media world.

Whether you are interested in live visual performance, projection mapping and interactive installations or you are simply looking for a visual rapid-prototyping environment to build your own custom systems, this workshop is for you. We will introduce you to the interface and cover the basics of device inputs and interactivity, generative textures and geometry, UI building and optimization.

Andrew Quinn is an Australian computer graphics artist and musician, living in Milan. He has worked on digital effects for films such as “The Matrix”, “Tomb Raider, ”, “Dark City”, “Nirvana” and “Vajont”. In recent years he specializes in video installations for multi screen and immersive environments and also digital graphics for interactive dance productions and contemporary music, including the series Koine’ for Pommeriggi Musicale at Teatro Del Verme, Milano in 2011 and Biennale of Music in Venice in both 2012 and 2016 the latter a concert by the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain, music by Grisey.
